The following is a list of what we believe to be the four best all-around laptops for under $700.00. Most laptops in this price range provide many of the same functions and features; so much of our review came down to brand recognition and how familiar we were with each product. 4. Toshiba Satellite L305D-S5904 15.4-Inch Laptop. This laptop is fast, includes plenty of space, and looks sleek and refined. It gets a Vista rating of 3.0 according to Microsoft. We can honestly say that Vista is not so bad. Vista can also be quite pleasing to the eyes after a couple of uses. (2.0 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual Core Mobile Processor, 3 GB RAM, 250 GB Hard Drive, DVD Drive, Vista Premium)

3. Toshiba Satellite A355-S6922 16.0-Inch Laptop. If you like to watch movies this computer is great because you can see the screen from any angle without black shadowing. The light-up DVD controls on the top of the keyboard are also a great for quick control of the movie. The speakers are very good quality, with excellent range and can be turned up loud enough to enjoy music or watch a movie from another part of the room.
The Satellite has a built-in webcam that is easily activated with a click. All four USB ports are on the sides near the front, as is the network port.

2. Sony VAIO VGN-NS235J/S 15.4-Inch Laptop. It works fast, it's not too big and you didn't have too much pre-installed things that you have to take care of, and for the price, it's was a bargain.
