Football vs Soccer

I have been around a lot of discussions about football and soccer lately.  Mostly, arguments about which one is better.  My personal preference is football, I grew up football, soccer was just a ball we tried to kick as far and high as we could.  Now don't get me wrong, I respect the skills it takes to play soccer, but it is just not my sort of game.  Here are 4 reasons I think football is a better sport.
1.  Football is the ultimate team sport.  Soccer does not need 11 guys doing the right thing in order to be successful.  During a typical football play, you need 11 guys doing their job for the play to work.  If two guys slack off, then the play won't work.

2. More scoring.  If you watched any Oklahoma Sooner football game this year, you noticed how enjoyable it was to see a great offense at work.  Points were scored at will and I just loved watching them light it up.  Even a low scoring football game can be fun to watch because you know at some point the other team is going to break through the defense.  Soccer on the other hand just doesn't have the ability to light up the scoreboard.  However, if every soccer game ended in a shoot out with a hot girl taking her shirt off, I would probably watch it more.

3.  More strategy.  Football has thousands of different plays that can be ran from hundreds of different formations.  Also, the defense can run many different types of fronts, blitz's, stunts, and coverages.  Special teams are also very unique, many different ways to run them.  Soccer just does not have that many x's and o's.

4.  Physical Contact.  I know that soccer has physical contact, but not 22 different guys going after each other every play of the game.  Which most of the time is between 150 to 200 plays if not more.  I have seen some tough hits during the course of a soccer game, but not as many as I have seen watching football.  I would much rather let Pele tackle me than Dick Butkus or Ray Lewis.

Lets face it, football is a better sport.  What is your argument?

Bracketology: NCAA DI Men’s Basketball Tournament

It’s that time of year again to get your brackets filled in and start the competition with your family, buddies, and co-workers. It’s all you ever see on the sports channels and newspapers. You also sit there and listen to those so-called experts talk about the bracket and who will win or lose, and also talk about that Cinderella team that always messes everyone’s bracket up. March Madness always keeps everyone entertained when you fill out a bracket and compete with other people because you don’t just cheer and watch your favorite team, but you also watch your other teams that you’ve picked. Even if you aren’t into basketball, it’s still a lot of fun! Here are my 4 teams in the Final Four:

- From the Midwest Bracket I have Louisville vs. Memphis from the West Bracket.
- From the East Bracket I have Duke vs. North Carolina from the South Bracket
- For the Championship I have North Carolina beating Memphis.

Lose 20 Pounds in Two Months

These are 4 things I did to lose 32 pounds in just over two months. I know the title says Twenty Pounds in Two Months
, but I took it a little bit further. I reached my goal and told myself I can do a little more to lose a little more. You have to be strong-willed! Here it is:
4. Reduce the size of your meals and eat more frequently.
- I’m not here to tell you what to eat or what not to eat, but your meal portions should be reduced a significant amount compared to what you are used to eating on a regular basis.
- Eating a snack between your main meals keeps you from being hungry all day.
3. Have a partner to lose weight with and make it a competition.
- Losing weight is hard enough and if you have someone to do this with, it just makes it a little easier (moral support).
- If you are a competitive person put a wager on who can lose the most weight, this is great for motivational purposes.
2. Make sure you do some high intensity cardio.
- There are many cardio workouts you can do, but I usually stick with running because you can always find a place to run.
- You want to make sure you do this cardio activity for at least 30 minutes a day and usually 5 days a week, no less!
1. Have a goal!
- You want to make sure you are specific about how much you want to lose, make it a realistic goal, and also make sure you have a time frame to reach your goal.

These are just a few ways to lose some weight! Please let us know what you think and don’t be shy to tell us your ways on how to lose weight. We want to hear your story also. Good Luck to All!

4 Websites You Must Visit Before You Travel To Disneyland

My family travels to Disneyland at least once and sometimes twice a year. We have found the following websites to be helpful, informative and excellent for increasing the pre-trip excitement.

4. http://www.universalstudioshollywood.com/special_deals.html - I know you are saying this is the ticket area for Universal Studios Hollywood. I find that I typically can’t afford the magical rush, all Disney, all of the time so I buy a Southern California City Pass. This pass is a great money saver, typically save over $100 dollars per ticket, and we get to go to 5 theme parks at a great rate.

3. http://www.southern-california-beaches-vacation-guide.com/ - I can’t go to Disneyland without going to the beach so I always use this site to try to find a new and unique beach experience for my family. I think two of the most unique beaches we have found are La Jolla Cove and Windansea Beach, look them up.

2. Official Website of Disneyland - You have to visit this site just because it is “The Official Webpage of Disneyland Park” If you want an all Disneyland experience this is the site you will want to use to plan you trip. They will set you up to where you never leave the Disney grounds. It is more expensive going all Disney but what a magical rush.

1. http://miceage.micechat.com/ - This site presents a unique and independent view of Disneyland. If I ever want to know what is happening or will be happening in “The Happiest Place on Earth”, I visit this site. They have all of the editorials, reviews, and guides you will ever need for a Disneyland trip. Also visit their Forum board, Micechat, it will help you plan your trip by letting you know what is in, out, good, and bad.

Top 2 Wireless Providers

AT&T vs. Verizon

How are they the same?

1. Both AT&T and Verizon have a number of plans to choose from that fit any type of user. For example they both have plans that contain prepaid, individual, family, and mobile-to-mobile. Both providers also have a roadside assistance feature.
2. AT&T and Verizon also have standard features in the minutes department such as free nights and weekends, mobile-to-mobile and free domestic long distance.
3. Both providers offer free phones when signing a contract, usually with the minimum of 2 years.

What sets them apart?

1. I believe AT&T is ahead of Verizon in its cell phone selection, quality over quantity. AT&T phones range from basic budget cell phones to smart phones. AT&T is the ONLY cell phone provider to sell the popular iPhone from Apple.
2. What sets Verizon Wireless apart from AT&T is its wide selection of cell phones. Once again AT&T has the smaller selection. Verizon also has a rare feature of not rounding up your minutes. 1:43 is 1:43 not rounded up to 2 minutes.
3. Since we’re talking about minutes, AT&T takes a big lead with its key feature in rollover minutes. Whatever minutes you don’t use from your monthly plan are carried over and added onto your minutes the next month. Rollover minutes let you subscribe to cheaper plans. As your minutes add up you can use them during your busy months.

I have AT&T on top how about you? Hope this helps, Thanks!

4 Sayings to Get You Past Those Daily Doldrums

4. Get busy living or get busy dying! The first time I heard this saying was on the movie "Shawshank Redemption (Buy Now!)" it makes a great deal of sense, you either do or don’t it is that simple.

3. It takes resistance to fly! With out a little push or tug in our lives there would be no real living, embrace it and enjoy life.

2. Whether you think you can or can’t, you are right! This one is attributed to Henry Ford. It makes sense as well because we are what we believe we are, not what others perceive.

1. Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I can’t change. This is part of the prayer and it is helpful for those of us who just can’t or don’t want to leave those things we can’t control alone.

Myspace vs. Facebook

Myspace, Facebook, Myspace, Facebook, it’s taking over our lives. These social networking websites are connecting millions of people worldwide. These websites have become very popular with people of many different ages. It’s hard to say which one is better than the other because they both have great features. Myspace seems to be the most popular one, but Facebook is just as good. Myspace is very popular because it’s a site where you can express yourself, put a lot of creative backgrounds, and even have music on your page. Even though Facebook isn’t as personal, its uses to connect with people are very similar to Myspace. These social networks are great if you like to stay in touch with many friends because we all know that we don’t have the time to call everyone. Let us know if you have a Myspace, Facebook, or any other social networking site; and also let us know which one you think is the best. Thank you!

Nascar Fans: The Top 4 Reasons Why They Hate Jeff Gordon

Many Nascar fans have hated Jeff Gordon for many years. I always wondered why, so I did a little research and these are the four reasons that kept popping up.

4. Jeff Gordon is a pre-Madonna. What? Many fans felt that he did not pay his dues, that he was just given the spot on a great team with great equipment.
3. Jeff Gordon is a crybaby. Again, what? Many fans feel that every time he loses he blames someone and cries that it is their fault and not his.
2. Jeff Gordon must be gay. What? Because he doesn’t have a Skoal ring and he originally hails from California he is an outsider to most Nascar fans.
1. Jeff Gordon is treated differently by Nascar. Many fans believe that there is a conspiracy between Nascar and Jeff Gordon that allows Gordon to dominate.

These are the top reasons for hating Jeff Gordon, I for one don’t. I think he is a great athlete with an excellent will to win.

St. Patrick's Day "Who is this Guy?"

St. Patrick’s Day came to America in 1737. This holiday was first publicly celebrated in Boston. Today, people celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the traditional wearing of green and parades. Many people also celebrate with the drinking of beer and most of the time its GREEN beer.
So what’s the history of this guy, St. Patrick? Well he was born with the name of Maewyn around 385 AD. Before he began turning the native pagans of Ireland into Christians he sort of had a rough start in life. At the age of 16 he was sold into slavery. It was during this time of slavery he found God.

St. Patrick was a slave for six years until he escaped and headed for Gaul. This is where he met up with St. Germain and studied in the local monastery. This is where St. Patrick found his true destiny in life, and that was to turn pagans into Christians.

After returning to Ireland St. Patrick was very successful at converting the pagans and this did not sit well with the Celtic Druids. Patrick was arrested several times, but escaped each time, because that’s how the Irish roll! Throughout the next thirty years he traveled throughout Ireland building and establishing monasteries, schools, and churches.

St. Patrick died on March 17th 461 AD. After his death a lot of fiction surrounds St. Patrick’s Day. Some of these stories include the belief that Patrick raised people from the dead, but we all know that’s reserved for Capitan “Big Guns” upstairs! One of the most famous stories of St. Patrick is that he is said to have given a sermon from a hilltop that drove all the snakes from Ireland. Of course, no snakes were ever native to Ireland.

So what’s the deal with the shamrock? Well St. Padddy used the three-leafed shamrock to explain the Trinity. It is said that he used the shamrock in his sermons to show the representation of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Sprit, hence the Trinity.

Well I hope this clears things up! Thanks
